
New Media Manitoba (NMM) and Nordicity are undertaking The New Media Census: a three-phase project to assess and advance Manitoba’s flourishing new media industry.
- Phase 1 – An Industry Profile of the Manitoba new media industry to date.
- Phase 2 – An Economic Impact assessment of the Manitoba new media industry from 2011.
- Phase 3 – Forward-looking Strategies 4 Success for the Manitoba new media industry.
This Census will be the first time that anyone has succeeded in determining the impact New Media has on this province. The answers provided by new media workers in this census will directly answer the questions of "Why does your work matter," and "why should anyone care about New Media?", that will be used by industry and government to advance the sector.
The outcome of The New Media Census will be a new media industry statistical profile, an economic impact assessment and a Manitoba New Media Industry Strategy.
Once each Phase of the Census is complete, some or all of the results will be presented on this Corkboard for all registered participant to view and discuss. Until the Phase is complete you will be able to find descriptions of each Phase on the appropriate tab.
