CSS Demystified! Part Deux
On Tuesday, March 22/05, MNM Presents, "CSS Demystified! Part Deux" at Psych Health. The meeting begins at 7:30 pm sharp.
You asked for more so we're going to give it to you. Peer Allan is back with Cascading Style Sheets that'll make your website shine!
CSS is one of the most up-and-coming web standards available to web designers. At no time before has there been the flexibility or options that CSS can lend to the layout of web pages. In "CSS Demystified! Part Deux" we will delve into real-world examples of how you can use CSS in your web design today.
Some of the examples you will see:
- Backgrounds & Borders: not just for pages or table cells
- Fonts: control your web fonts like never before
- Margins & Padding: get the spacing you need without spacer images
- Display: hide content based on browser type
- Lists: select other list markers or none at all
- pseudo-classes: create rollovers without javascript
- Positioning & Alignment: put content where you want and make it stay there
Is there something about CSS that you have heard about or would like to see? Let peer@bipolarsoftware.ca know prior to March 22 and he will try to create an example or send your site to Peer with specific CSS questions he can address.
If you missed Part 1, don't worry, we will give a brief recap to get you up to speed. If you like to read up before the big day, check out the following link: http://www.w3schools.com/css/
