Going From Beat to Tweet for N00bs

Based on member feedback, our intermediate level 'Beat To Tweet' Social Media training last spring was a huge success! Our resident Social Media Expert; Lloyd Hannesson, delivered a thorough background on several social media tools, and dove right into Facebook and Twitter and how you can use them to brand your business quickly and efficiently.

Many folks have emailed to say they would love to see an introduction to Social Media with an emphasis on Twitter and Facebook so we have obliged! On Thursday, September 3, 2009, we bring you "Beat to Tweet for N00bs," an introduction to the social media economy for business. Thursday's presentation will demystify the unique language behind Twitter and the etiquette to branding your business with social media.

Some of the things you will learn on Sept 3, 2009, will include:

• Why Twitter & Facebook have transformed online marketing
• Who uses Twitter and How they can become an important part of your businesses success
• What you need to do to make social media an integral part of your business, and,
• Where to get started

This presentation will be ideal for people that know Twitter exists, but really don't "get it." You will walk away with a solid understanding of the business uses for Facebook and Twitter and will be given the tools to begin using social media effectively. Handouts (including definitions) and Breakfast will be provided.

Thursday's presentation is all about the practical application of social media. Many wonderful and inspiring out-of-town speakers have presented some amazing business results using social media over the past year. The goal of 'Beat to Tweet for N00bs' is to use social media to create a useful and inspiring business of your own.
