User interface design for the iPad is not the same as designing for the web. On Tuesday, June 21, 2011, Chris, Olga, and Lee of Velocity Branding will guide you through their methodology for project management and designing for Tablets.
In 2010, Winnipeg's Velocity Branding was hired by Calgary-headquartered Deco Windshield Repair to move them from cell phones, fax machines and desktop computers to iPad Tablets and web-servers.
Phase One of the project is now in live beta-test across four provinces and more than 200 remotely-based technicians. The app allows technicians and managers to work with customers, communicate with insurance companies, track business, train employees and even do accounting and payroll. Deco Windshield Repair committed themselves to an entirely new way of doing business and Velocity Branding provided the guidance, the user interface and project management needed for the job.
The Velocity Team will demonstrate how to:
- plan an app that runs an entire business across multiple provinces
- create an optimal user interface for the iPad
- tackle the differences between web and iOS interactive design and,
- collaborate with a programming team you have never worked with before
