It is now our third year running "Beat to Tweet" training over the summer. It's an excellent opportunity to dive into the latest social media waters and discover how to launch and/or improve your social media expertise.

Our Trainer, Lloyd Hanneson @dasme, will once again guide us through the morning on Monday, July 25, 2011, and share with you the tools to become a social media maven via Facebook and Twitter. This year he'll be going even further when we look at Google+ which may become a viable contender for the Facebook popularity crown.
In the past, we have conducted Beat to Tweet training for a half-day. On July 25, you'll receive a FULL day of training and two additional presenters!
After lunch, Lisa MacKenzie @typeacubed, Chair of TEDx Manitoba, will deconstruct the social media case-study behind last year's wildly successful TEDx Manitoba Conference which, thanks to her leadership, became the #1 Trending Topic across Canada during the event. Lisa will share the TEDx Manitoba strategy from beginning-to-end that engaged participants months in advance, right through to the day of the conference. Thanks to her guidance the TEDx Manitoba social buzz has yet to stop!
Our third and final presenter for the day will be Susan Hurrell @modernearth from the much heralded, Winnipeg digital-social-media-firm; Modern Earth. Susan will share how an agency can help you strategize, layout and define the success of a social media campaign, privacy issues, the right questions you should ask an agency before hiring them, and how to meet your business goals with the help of managed social media support.
This year's Beat to Tweet will be held at the Richardson Centre for Functional Foods Theatre in Smart Park near the University of Manitoba and will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is just $74.95 for the day and includes BOTH breakfast and lunch.
It should be noted that parking on the premises costs $8 for the day, so as an added incentive for you, we will reduce your registration to $66.95 to help cover your parking fee if you register BEFORE July 18, 2011. After this date, the cost will revert back to $74.95 plus additional parking fees.
