With the flurry of iPhone training heating up we thought we'd score a bonus round with our next iPhone maverick Nick Campbell.
Nick Campbell is flying to Winnipeg to share one of the most important iPhone development secrets of all: getting paid.
Producing an app may sound simple enough if you're a wide-eyed optimistic thinking your idea will crack open the iPhone millionaire honeypot. But creating an app that sells can be altogether different and requires some thought into how you're going to promote it.
Nick Campbell is a designer and has worked as an animator and creative director for campaigns such as Puma, PBS Kids, and the Blackberry Bold. He blogs and hosts regular tutorials over at GreyscaleGorilla.com. Nick is an educator, lecturer, the creator of ShakeItPhoto for the iPhone, and an all round swell guy.
That's why we've asked him to give you the first hit free.
Prior to our day-long training on Design your iPhone App and Get Paid, Nick is going to spend an evening talking about being a paid creative. His knowledge and stories will be of particular interest to graphic designers, animators, photographers, motion graphic artists, students, and those of us that wonder if freelancing from a groovy apartment in Osborne Village can result in long term success.
His complimentary talk will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 1000 Waverley Street from 7 pm - 9 pm. There is no charge for Tuesday's event and all are welcome.
