Mike Fagundes
Mike Fagundes is an artist, and an entrepreneur. Mike worked at Frantic Films / Prime Focus in the VFX field as a software developer, simulation artist, and later department head. He also has 10 yrs. graphic & web design experience, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba. Mike is currently the head of Luscious Orange Design.

I write code for a variety of things - fun mainly - and I have a bit of an entrepreneurial spirit I guess, since I've started a handful of companies by now. I started the Sitellite CMS open source project, Simian Systems, Dojo Learning, and I currently work for the Centre for Education and Work and spend the rest of my time writing and recording music and other experiments.

All Access: The Digital Incubator January 28, 2010
The Digital Incubator is a daylong interactive digital media forum that will bring together the 3 C’s—computing, communications and content to highlight the interlocking of traditional film & television with interactive digital media. The day will consist of a keynote speaker, a panel discussion, guest speakers, round-table meetings, one-on-one meetings and networking opportunities.

Be a Part of Manitoba New Media History December 3, 2007
We are called at various intervals in our lives to affect change; to take part in something that impacts our lives and the lives of those in our community. We can choose to heed that call and live in a world of abundance. Or, we can choose to live a life of scarcity - constantly worrying if someone will steal our piece of the pie.
A Multimedia (Association) Christmas December 6, 2007
This year a handful of associations have all joined together to spread some holiday cheer in one grand gathering! The Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC), Adobe User Group of Winnipeg (Flash in the 'Peg), Manitoba Interactive Media Association (MIDMA), the International Game Developers Association (IGDA), Film Training Manitoba (FTM), and of course New Media Manitoba (us), are all getting together at Finn McCue's in the Forks on Thursday December 6, 2007.
