This November 1, 2012, will mark the most significant milestone for the future of the New Media Industry in Manitoba.

Next Thursday we will unveil the 2012 census results for our industry, but more importantly, we will unveil the future for Manitoba's Interactive Digital Media industry simply titled Manitoba's New Media Strategy.

Three priorities for our new media industry will be unveiled to address the most important barriers to success that every Manitoba New Media company, freelancer, and employee faces today. These 3 priorities will not only make you a stronger company but will give you a key competitive advantage over other new media centres.

This past year feels like we've been running a marathon together. We've been working closely with you to fully understand our industry's weaknesses and greatest strengths so we can come up with a plan to provide New Media folks with the most competitive edge possible.

And we've found it, in three simple, but profound priorities.

Never have I felt so clear a path for our industry because that path was built interdependantly with you. Everything we will share on November 1 has been a result of your commitment to not only growing your own company but to growing a healthy new media industry here in Manitoba. This takes a lot of personal sacrifice and says a lot about what you value.

Two other people that place a lot of value in this industry are Provincial Minister Dave Chomiak of Innovation, Energy and Mines, and Dave Angus; CEO of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, who will both be present and speaking at our event.

Set your meetings and work aside and for one hour on November 1 and join the camaraderie as a Provincial New Media community.

It will be amazing and it will be brilliant.

Because it's all about you.
