DESCRIPTION:New Media Manitoba presents this free camp for indigenous youth aged 14-18\, led by local interdisciplinary artist Casey Koyczan.\n\n\n\nIt’s important to preserve who we are\, where we come from\, and make our voices heard.\n\n\n\nArt is always evolving\, as are the tools and techniques that we have at our disposal are ever-changing. However\, the essential need we all have as human beings to tell our stories and express ourselves remains constant. \n\n\n\nThis course will encourage students of any skill level to gain experience with digital art tools. They will employ techniques such as 3D Modeling and Animation using Blender to craft a piece of their own to express who they are. It is easy to take simple things like accessing a website for granted\, but barriers to accessibility are real and constant challenges for persons with disabilities.
