Manitoba Government Proclaims Feb. 22 – 28 Tech Week
Winnipeg, MB, February 22, 2021– New Media Manitoba and Tech MB, in collaboration with other partners and organizations are pleased that the Province of Manitoba has proclaimed the week of February 22 – 28, 2021 as Tech Week.
“The Manitoba government recognizes the critical role that information and communication technology has played in our province and across the world, particularly during these challenging times. Information and communication technology and interactive digital media have helped our businesses and workplaces remain connected, expand markets and facilitate commerce during the challenges we have all faced this past year,” says the Honourable Ralph Eichler, Minister of Economic Development and Jobs, the Province of Manitoba.

A strong technology sector makes Manitoba a better place to live, work and invest. The export of information and communications technology and interactive digital media play a substantive role in creating jobs and keeping young people in Manitoba.
“Tech Manitoba is thrilled about Tech Week. This proclamation draws attention to the people that work in the technology sector and highlights the importance of tech to Manitoba’s economy,” says Kay Gardiner, CEO of Tech Manitoba.
