Louie Ghiz has been with NMM since 2009 and has been the Executive Director since 2016. Louie ensures that NMM has strong connections with our members, as well as stakeholders in government and academia. He has over fifteen years of experience working with the interactive digital media industry, as prior to NMM he worked as an investment analyst and new media manager at Telefilm Canada offices in Halifax and Toronto.

Taralee Turner brings more than 12 years of senior organizational and administrative leadership experience as our Director of Operations.
As a CPA, CMA with an undergraduate degree in Education, she’s followed a path of service with organizations and associations supporting education, training and community enrichment. Taralee’s journey has provided a wealth of experience that she is eager to share, and she looks forward to working collaboratively toward supporting Manitoba’s IDM community.

Jonathan leads New Media Manitoba’s latest workforce development initiative – StudioLab xR. This is a first-of-its-kind facility that provides training and support for emerging technologies such as virtual production.
Jonathan is responsible for managing training and devising strategies to increase the adoption of these emerging technologies by Manitoba companies. Jonathan has decades of experience working with both interactive and linear content producers and looks forward to helping them realize their creative visions at StudioLab xR.

Juliet joined the NMM family in September 2019 and has 20 of experience working with a variety of IDM companies and innovation strategists in Winnipeg and in Vancouver.
She has contributed to Manitoba’s tech community for over ten years and brings an abundance of enthusiasm and experience to this new unique role working with our sector partners and contributing to NMM’s workforce development responsibilities.
She’s the contact for employees from the academic community who program Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, and the Interactive Digital Media (IDM) business communities that are hungry for talent, and invested in creating real-world work experiences to help grow the province’s workforce.

Corinne leads NMM’s business development and market access initiatives, including applications for funding and execution of programs. Active programs support companies with costs for growth activities like travel to conferences, contracting experts, and hiring staff.
In collaboration with the Executive Director, she develops strategies and execution plans for business development and market access, assessing other programs for the IDM industry and identifying new potential opportunities to pursue.

Ogochukwu “Ogo” is an internationally trained Human Resources Professional with years of experience partnering with organizations to help them successfully grow and achieve their overall corporate goals.
She also supports our partner organizations to establish and maintain a safe work environment and a culture that fosters collaboration, engagement, productivity, and growth, where every human resource customer feels valued and empowered to succeed.
She holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Personnel Relations, is pursuing a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Manitoba and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.

With over seven years of cross-industry expertise, Viktoriia Kozerenko is an accomplished professional renowned for her international exposure and diverse skill set. With a background coordinating AI-driven and tech startups, she excelled in navigating complex projects and fostering cross-cultural collaborations.
Assuming the role of Special Projects Coordinator, Viktoriia aims to leverage her varied experience to innovate and achieve projects’ goals. Collaborating closely with the Business Development Manager, she brings valuable expertise in digital and project management to the team.

Rubab brings with her more than 8 years of creative communications, experience creation and relationship development experience working in both nonprofit and corporate sectors. With her education background in television production, communications, physical theatre, international business and community development, there is a wide array of projects she has under her belt. In her past roles she has worked in business development, marketing, public relations, brand development and client relations. She is passionate about interactive media and clever storytelling and cannot wait to see this combo evolve in society.

Matt is a fluent tech enthusiast who is experienced in working with the latest technologies. He understands how new, exciting tech can help build more impactful interactive experiences, and can enrich the digital landscape for those who want to learn.
He has a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Winnipeg and a Diploma of Game Design from the Vancouver Film School. Matt is always developing his skill set to devise better support for the growing needs of the interactive digital media industries.

With an advanced diploma in Game Development from Algonquin College and several years working in both the video game and animation industry. Kentyn brings extensive technical Unreal knowledge from cinematics to immersive 3D interactive environments.
Kentyn works alongside StudioLab xR’s team to help grow their virtual production expertise by creating 3D environments as well as maintaining and supporting projects with technical aspects of Unreal Engine.

Olivia has 10 years of 3D knowledge under her belt, as well as a graphic design skillset. She’s been living and breathing video games since she was big enough to sit at a computer desk.
Olivia graduated from RRC Polytech’s Digital Media Design program in 2021. She’s a 3D Computer Animation major and is passionate about 3D art and game design. Olive’s goal as the Digital Media Coordinator is to share her passion with students, and also help keep the IDM community informed and up to date.
She is the face behind the Girls in Gaming program, manages the NMM newsletter, runs the social media channels, and is a teaching assistant for the Tech Hub program.

Marc has a vast array of experiences and skills that he brings to New Media Manitoba as the Game Design Instructor. A recent graduate from the Toronto Film School in Game Design & Animation; Game Design, Production, Game Art, and Programming. Marc especially enjoys sharing that knowledge and excitement with everyone interested.
Marc also helps organize community events and workshops in both Pixel Pals and the Winnipeg Digital Art Group. Participating and helping grow the local Game Development community is something Marc enjoys doing as he continues to develop his own skills in the fast changing industry that is Game Development.
