Louie Ghiz has been with NMM since 2009 and has been the Executive Director since 2016. Louie ensures that NMM has strong connections with our members, as well as stakeholders in government and academia. He has over fifteen years of experience working with the interactive digital media industry, as prior to NMM he worked as an investment analyst and new media manager at Telefilm Canada offices in Halifax and Toronto.

Juliet joined the NMM family in September 2019. Juliet has 18 years of experience working with a variety of IDM companies and innovation strategists in Winnipeg and in Vancouver. She has contributed to Manitoba’s tech community for over ten years and brings an abundance of enthusiasm to the NMM team. She focuses on creating value for NMM members and helps to amplify the collective successes of Manitoba’s IDM industry. She is committed to empowering NMM members and elevating under-represented groups. Juliet is always on the lookout for innovative ideas and opportunities to collaborate with members and the community. We’re so lucky to have Juliet on board and can’t wait to see what she’s got up her sleeve this year.

John, who was previously our Northern Technology Liaison, focuses on supporting the IDM industry through our recently developed Studio Lab/Training Space. John is in charge of managing logistics of the space, including  coordinating the use of our Studio lab with industry, academic and community partners as well as organizing live streaming sessions, especially during these times. A tech enthusiast, he is also responsible for NMM’s technology and providing tech support when needed.

Jonathan works to ensure that the most relevant training supports are in place to achieve NMM’s goals of optimizing the IDM workforce. He is responsible for working and consulting with IDM companies and individuals, creating educational partnerships, creating customized training support and engaging with the community. Jonathan has over 15 years of experience working with advanced creative technologies, project management and community outreach.

Liz joined NMM in November and hit the ground running. She brings over fifteen years of experience to the team, having worked with non-profits, government, and IDM industry partners, including SkipTheDishes, Futurpreneur Canada, and Global Affairs Canada. Her work helped establish corporate partnerships with global brands to promote mobile apps, games, and virtual reality software. Liz’s passion for helping digital media companies to thrive informs everything she does, including her new role here with us at NMM!

Ajibola has a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, she is also a graduate of Human Resource Management Post-Degree Diploma and Management Certificate from the University of Winnipeg, Professional Applied Continuing Education Program. A member of Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR, Manitoba) and an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (ACIPM).

She has 11 years’ work experience which spans across Human Resource Management, Business Administration and Operations and the Non-Profit Sector. She helps businesses succeed by collaborating with them to provide innovative solutions in various areas such as strategic business planning, talent management, and employee relations, while they focus on their core competencies.

She brings on board her private and non-profit sectors experience in employment diversity, which involves promoting the employment of people with physical disabilities, relationship building with local agencies and institutions, and community outreach.
