Academic Relations

New Media Manitoba (NMM) is committed to delivering academic support to advance knowledge and skills development and create awareness about the many educational pathways and career opportunities in the Interactive Digital Media (IDM) industry.

Overview

Our goal is to attract learners of all ages across Manitoba, by inspiring their curiosity about the possibilities of emerging technologies and careers that weren’t available 10 years ago.

We’re investing in Manitoba’s future workforce through ongoing collaborations with all major post-secondary institutions that offer related programs, diplomas, degrees and micro credentials.

We establish connections with middle years and high school educators across the province who are seeing increased interest in IDM from their students, or schools that already offer IDM or cross-disciplinary programs and courses (such as film production and television broadcasting, creative arts and business or marketing programs.)

NMM academic programs are driven by thoughtful industry research and academic and industry consultations; and are embedded with our core values and goal of diversifying the IDM workforce to include everyone. Programs are delivered by passionate IDM enthusiasts and industry professionals who are committed to supporting our community and any learner on their path.
