Speaker: Chris Chancey
Armed with a master’s degree in video game design, Christopher Chancey founded ManaVoid Entertainment in 2014, a 30+ person game development studio that mixes and matches known genres and mechanics in new and innovative ways. He then co-founded the Indie Asylum in 2017, a video game startup incubator & accelerator. Through the years, he invested in over a dozen video game companies, raised over $50M in project funding, and grew the hub to include over 25 studios and 250 developers under the same roof in Montreal.
In 2020 Christopher was named Young Technocreative Leader of the Year by the Montreal Youth Chamber of Commerce. He served as Chairman of the Board of La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec between 2021 and 2025, representing over 450 studios and 15000 jobs in the province of Quebec, and teaches programming and game design at two universities. In 2025, Christopher cofounded Gambit Digital, a Canadian PC/Console video game publisher run by ex-Kepler Interactive and Frontier Games executives.
