International Day for Women and Girls in Science | Legislature Building Rotunda

Following last year’s successful event, NMM has again been invited by the Honourable Minister Renée Cable to showcase our work serving the IDM sector for the the 11th annual International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
Date: Feb 11th
Time: 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Location: Manitoba Legislature Rotunda
Join us as we celebrate the brilliance and innovation of women in science. The Minister’s office is creating a space to network, share success stories, and spark curiosity in the leaders of tomorrow. By sharing our stories, we aim to inspire the next generation to pursue careers in STEM and demonstrate that their potential is truly limitless.
The Honourable Minister Cable is delighted to announce that the keynote speaker will be Dr. Carrie Selin, Wawatay Academic Program Lead from the Faculty of Science at University of Manitoba.
This event continues to be a cornerstone initiative of the Government of Manitoba’s Ministry of Advanced Education and Training, designed to inspire the next generation of women in STEM fields while celebrating the remarkable achievements of women and girls already making their mark in science.
It will be an opportunity to create meaningful connections between established professionals and aspiring young scientists.
Thank you for the opportunity Minister Cable! We’re excited to share what we are doing here at NMM to advance women and girls in science.
Looking forward to seeing the community on Feb 11th!
