Industry Panel Discussion – Types of Game Development Studios and Roles

Want to know what it’s like to work in a game development studio?

What are the differences between working in a AAA studio, to mid-sized and  independent studios?

How do you know what type of studio would be a fit for you and your career path?

Event Description

Learn directly from industry professionals about what it’s like working at different kinds of studios. We have 4 game development experts who will each share information about their work culture, their roles and responsibilities, and the skill sets they’ve learned to get them where they are today.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about what it’s really like to work in a game studio or in a remote team environment so you can make educated choices in your career path.

Turn your passion for games into a professional career and learn about transferable skills to help get you there.

This event will be run and hosted in our official Discord channel. Please join it to access the event and join our community.

About Pixel Pals MB

Pixel Pals MB is a new meetup group that focuses on creating a safe and welcoming environment for marginalized persons to network with IDM industry professionals while learning about Game Development and other related areas of the creative digital arts.

Our events and programming aim to remove the barriers that prevent or discourage marginalized persons (women, gender diverse, queer, and BIPOC persons) from accessing game development opportunities and that hinder their ability to thrive in the game industry.

Pixel Pals MB is run by a volunteer Executive Committee of local game developers, artists, digital media advocates, and community programming experts who embody the community this meetup group is meant to serve, and NMM is grateful for their time and contributions.
