Louie Ghiz has been with NMM since 2009 and has been the Executive Director since 2016. Louie ensures that NMM has strong connections with our members, as well as stakeholders in government and academia. He has over fifteen years of experience working with the interactive digital media industry, as prior to NMM he worked as an investment analyst and new media manager at Telefilm Canada offices in Halifax and Toronto.

Taralee Turner brings more than 12 years of senior organizational and administrative leadership experience as our Director of Operations.
As a CPA, CMA with an undergraduate degree in Education, she’s followed a path of service with organizations and associations supporting education, training and community enrichment. Taralee’s journey has provided a wealth of experience that she is eager to share, and she looks forward to working collaboratively toward supporting Manitoba’s IDM community.

Jonathan leads New Media Manitoba’s latest workforce development initiative – StudioLab xR. This is a first-of-its-kind facility that provides training and support for emerging technologies such as virtual production.
Jonathan is responsible for managing training and devising strategies to increase the adoption of these emerging technologies by Manitoba companies. Jonathan has decades of experience working with both interactive and linear content producers and looks forward to helping them realize their creative visions at StudioLab xR.

Juliet joined the NMM family in September 2019 and has 25+ years of experience working with a variety of IDM companies, creative agencies and innovation strategists in Winnipeg and Vancouver.
She has contributed to Manitoba’s ICDT industry and community for over 15 years and brings an abundance of enthusiasm and experience to this new unique role working with our partners and contributing to NMM’s workforce development responsibilities. Juliet leads NMMs IDM Workforce Development Committee and is the main point of contact for the academic community, and IDM businesses requiring customized training.

Corinne leads NMM’s business development and market access initiatives, including applications for funding and execution of programs. In collaboration with the Executive Director, she develops strategies and execution plans for business development and market access activities, assesses other programs for the IDM industry and identifies new potential opportunities to pursue.
Corinne provides advisory services and ecosystem navigation for members while developing and maintaining relationships with potential members, key partners and network contacts. Corinne joined NMM in 2021 and has over five years of experience in economic development.

With a lifelong fascination for the power of branding, Teena developed an early passion for the way companies use creativity and strategy to connect with audiences. This curiosity led to extensive studies in sociology, graphic design, marketing, and community management.
Her 15+ year portfolio spans industries such as tech, non-profit, manufacturing, education, retail, and more, partnering with organizations from solo entrepreneurs to global corporations. Teena thrives on elevating brand communication strategies and connecting communities through networking, data-driven insights, and innovative thinking.
As the Senior Manager of Community Development, Teena fosters inclusive and diverse environments that prioritize genuine connections, creativity, and collaboration.

Lesley brings a wealth of experience from the intersection of AI, virtual reality, and digital media. Before joining us, Lesley was the product lead and head of strategy at an AI intelligence company focused on 3D workflows. 
 
Previously, he co-founded and served as CEO of a venture-backed virtual reality startup, where he took on roles like Chief Innovation Officer and directed motion capture and real-time animations. 
 
Lesley has shared his insights at major industry conferences, including Oculus Connect (now Meta Connect), the NAB Show, and the Augmented World Expo. When he’s not immersed in AI, Lesley explores his passion for synthesizers, photography, and the art of creative tech from LiDAR to code.

Matt is a fluent tech enthusiast who is experienced in working with the latest technologies. He understands how new, exciting tech can help build more impactful interactive experiences, and can enrich the digital landscape for those who want to learn.
He has a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Winnipeg and a Diploma of Game Design from the Vancouver Film School. Matt is always developing his skill set to devise better support for the growing needs of the interactive digital media industries.

Marc has a vast array of experiences and skills that he brings to New Media Manitoba as the Game Design Instructor. A recent graduate from the Toronto Film School in Game Design & Animation; Game Design, Production, Game Art, and Programming. Marc especially enjoys sharing that knowledge and excitement with everyone interested.
Marc also helps organize community events and workshops in both Pixel Pals and the Winnipeg Digital Art Group. Participating and helping grow the local Game Development community is something Marc enjoys doing as he continues to develop his own skills in the fast changing industry that is Game Development.

Cameron Hintz is a Senior Cinematic Artist working at the intersection of real-time 3D graphics and storytelling in the video game industry. With over a decade of experience—beginning as a hobbyist and growing into a professional career—he brings a deep, hands-on understanding of Cinematic Design in Unreal Engine.
He has contributed to the in-game Cinematics for Dune: Awakening, as well as provided the digital cinematography of popular trailers for major titles including Dead by Daylight, Assassin’s Creed, XDefiant, South of Midnight, For Honor, and Skull and Bones, among others.
Certified in Real-Time 3D Foundations, Cameron is passionate about teaching and empowering other creators.
