Introducing StoryLab

Join us as we officially launch StoryLab, a hands-on training program designed to empower underrepresented creatives in Manitoba.

Developed by New Media Manitoba in partnership with On Screen Manitoba, StoryLab supports emerging talents from Indigenous, Francophone, and other underrepresented communities who want to learn and create using Virtual Production technologies.

Throughout the program, participants will collaborate with experienced industry professionals in the development and production of an original short film — entirely created within the cohort and filmed at StudioLab xR.

What to expect:

• An overview of the StoryLab program
• Insights into training sessions: Unreal Engine 5, In-Camera Visual Effects, Story Development, and Production Design
• Meet the partners and mentors
• Application walk-through
• Q&A session

This Kick-Off Session will provide a complete overview of the program structure, key dates, training highlights, and the application process.
