MB Women in Tech Meetup

Following up on Tech MB’s Disrupted 2022 ‘Tech for Good’ Panel “Measuring Success: Using Tech to Improve Inclusivity”, Jennifer Bodnarchuk will share additional information about the City of Winnipeg’s Diversity Dashboard and discuss how they identified opportunities for underrepresented groups in the firefighting profession.

In this enlightening lunch hour session, we’ll explore the implementation of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives at the City of Winnipeg, and learn how they reimagined their Fire Training Program with Bradley West, Equity Office Manager at the City of Winnipeg.

Speaker Bios:
Jennifer Bodnarchuk (she/her)
Senior Data Scientist, Innovation & Technology, City of Winnipeg

Jennifer is the Senior Data Scientist in the Department of Innovation & Technology and a member of the Diversity Reports Working Group at the City of Winnipeg. She is also a Contract Instructor for the University of Winnipeg’s PACE program in Predictive Analytics. She is Past Chair of the City of Winnipeg’s Women @ Work Committee, launched the Women in IT group in the Innovation & Technology Department, and a regular participant in MBWiTech meetups.

Bradley West
Equity Office Manager, City of Winnipeg

In his role, Bradley brings decades of work within the equity, diversity and inclusion sector which has given him a depth and breadth of experience, understanding, knowledge and skills. To compliment his experience Bradley is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) in Canada, a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) in the United States, a certified coach practitioner (CCP), and a certified management coach (PMC). Bradley is an award-winning leader with expertise as a trainer, educator, and facilitator with a strong foundation in sociology, organizational development, gender and sexual diversity, and human systems management.
